3-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is one of the most popular sports franchise’s around the world with a massive fan base not only in India but around the globe.

The ‘Whistle Podu’ brigade has always been rock solid behind the Dhoni-led ‘Yellow Army’ in both their highs and lows and has been an extended family of sorts to their beloved cricketing stars and support staff, sharing moments of glory and enduring rare failures too.

CSK did not get off to the best possible start in the ongoing edition of the IPL, losing five out of their seven games in the opening two weeks of the tournament but the ‘Yellow Army’ brought back the smiles on the faces of their fans with a 20-run win over SRH at Dubai on Tuesday (October 13).

A few days back Gopi Krishnan, a die-hard Dhoni fan in Tamil Nadu’s Arangur painted his entire house in yellow as a mark of respect and tribute to the Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The fan painted his house yellow, the very colours of the jersey donned by the 3-time champions. The house also has the CSK logo painted on the side walls with a message ‘Home of Dhoni fan’ above the door.

CSK took to their social media accounts to share the pictures of the house painted yellow as a tribute to Dhoni. “Super Fan Gopi Krishnan and his family in Arangur, Tamil Nadu call their residence Home of Dhoni Fan and rightly so. A super duper tribute that fills our hearts with #yellove,” CSK wrote on Twitter.

As per a report in India Today, the die-hard CSK and Dhoni fan from Tamil Nadu spent Rs 1.5 lakh to get his house painted in CSK colours. Gopi Krishnan who otherwise hails from Tamil Nadu but is currently working in Dubai expressed hisdisappointment for not being able to watch the IPL 2020 matches live at the stadiums. However, that has not stopped him from supporting Dhoni from his home.

“I am disappointed that I can’t see Dhoni playing live, and also how many people are criticising Dhoni for not playing well. I want to motivate him and win or lose we will always support him,” he was quoted as saying by India Today.
