IPL 2020, RCB vs KXIP: Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a competitive 171-run total against Kings Eleven Punjab in the IPL 2020 match being currently played at the Dubai International Stadium.
Choosing to bat first after skipper Kohli won the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a breezy start with openers Aaron Finch and Devduvtt Padikkal striking a couple of crisp boundaries off seamer Mohammad Shami and spinner Glen Maxwell’s bowling in the 6-over powerplays.
24 runs in the final over off Shami as #RCB post a total of 171/6 on the board.

Against the run of play, seamer Arshdeep Singh sent Padikkal back to the pavilion for 18 as the left handed batsman scooped one straight in the hands of Nicolas Pooran.
Skipper Virat Kohli then joined Finch and the duo stitched a quick partnership for the second wicket before leg spinner M Ashwin cartwheeled Finch’s (20) stumps with a peach of a delivery. Kohli then ticked along the singles with Washington Sundar but Ashwin struck yet again to dismiss Sundar (13) and have RCB three down.
Punjab spinners M Aswhin and Ravi Bishnoi bowled some economical overs to keep Kohli and all-rounder Shivam Dube quiet for 3-4 overs during the middle stage of RCB’s innings. Dube then broke the shackles by launching an assault on spinner Bishnoi by hitting him for two gigantic sixes. Dube eventually fell for a quick-fire 23-run knock off 19 deliveries to seamer Chris Jordan.
Mohammad Shami produced a lethal spell to scalp the important wickets of dangerman AB De Villiers (2) and the well settled Virat Kohli (48) to peg back RCB at the fag end of the innings. Chris Morris and Isuru Udana hit some lusty blows to propel RCB to 171-6 at Sharjah.
