Speaking as the keynote speaker for Qualcomm’s 5G Summit, Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Matthew Oommen said that Jio has developed a fully indigenous 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) product. Qualcomm also said That Snapdragon will support OpenRan 5G with Jio and various other telecom providers.

The company further stated that the Qualcomm 5G RAN platform provides support for a broad infrastructure range from large MIMO to macro base stations to small cells and includes support for all major frequency bands on the sub-6 GHz and MMWave spectrum.
