Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Aeon Morgan thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCP) by 8 wickets in the IPL 2020 clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
Kohli’s ‘Red Brigade’ bowling department reduced the Knights to 84/8 in 20 overs (the lowest score by any team in IPL batting), and chased down 85 after KKR won the toss and elected to field. The run goal was not to sweat over six overs.
After conceding his fifth loss of the season, Morgan admitted that he had misread the wicket and conditions and that bowling first could have been a better choice for the Abu Dhabi wicket. KKR Captain RCP bowling unit praised their amazing bowling display.

“Having four or five people in the beginning was not the level we wanted to be in. The RCP bowled well and probably looking at the conditions, we should have bowled first,” Morgan said.
“They were able to exploit anything that was a privilege and gave the nature of the competition that you have to be as good as you can against every team every time,” he said.
KKR’s batting unit fell like a pack of cards in Abu Dhabi
With the absence of foreign players Andre Russell and Sunil Narine, KKR did not excel in batting efforts as the leading batsmen fell like a pack card against the strong seam bowling of the RCP bowlers.
“We hope they (Narine and Russell) get around the corner. We know when those talented guys, especially all-rounders, will be available. Things will be different. We hope they will be available soon,” he said.
