Kapil Dev admitted to ICU after chest pain, undergoes emergency angioplasty surgery in Delhi

Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev is reportedly undergoing angioplasty at a Delhi hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Kapil Dev is the Guest Analyst for the upcoming APP News Show ‘Come Cricket’ for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

According to a Fortis Hospital report, “Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev arrived at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (Okla Road) emergency department on October 23 at 1:00 am with a complaint of chest pain. Mathur performed.

“Currently, he is admitted to the ICU and is under the close supervision of Dr Atul Mathur and his team. Mr Kapil Dev is now stable and is expected to be discharged in a couple of days.”
Kapil Dev is one of the best cricketers in this game. The former cricketer, one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of the game, has represented India for more than a decade. He made his Test debut for India against Pakistan in Quetta on October 1, 1978 and made his Test debut in Faisalabad later that month.

The Indian great encouraged India to win the memorable World Cup in 1983, where they defeated the mighty West Indies in the final at Lord’s. Dev took 12 wickets in India’s World Cup victory, scoring 303 runs at an average of 60.6. Also, he captured seven catches in eight encounters.

Additional details about Kapil Dev’s health with his family members have not given an update on his health now. However, he is said to be stable now.
