Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 8 wickets in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to close the play-off berth.
R.C.P. The bowler’s superb bowling performance knocked KKR to 84-8 and then chased down the target below 85 in fourteen overs.
RCB seamer Mohammad Siraj won a match by taking 3 wickets for just 8 runs in his four overs, while captain Virat Kohli reached another milestone in his IPL career. Kolki was unbeaten on 18 with Gurkeerat Manu.
Virat Kohli joins Shikhar Dhawan in select batting club with 500 fours in IPL
Kohli joined the selected batsmen during the RCB’s IPL 2020 match against KKR as he scored the 500th four of his career in his T500 league.
The RCB captain, who came up with 498 fours in his kitty in the match against KKR, reached the selected milestone by hitting 2 fours off 18 of his 17 balls.
Kohli became the second Indian batsman to reach the milestone after Delhi teammate Shikhar Dhawan. Shikhar Dhawan currently tops the list of cricketers with the most fours with 575 fours.
Suresh Raina (493), Gautam Gambhir (491) and David Warner (485) have rounded out the top five four-hitters in the IPL.
In ICL history, RCB captain Kohli also scored 5759 runs in 187 matches. He had five runs and 38 fifties before this match.
