Watch: Shikhar Dhawan’s angry reaction after Rishabh Bandh’s defeat to get Nicholas Pooran run-out
Nicholas Pooran was batting only 10 runs when he was narrowly saved from the run-out. In the 8th over of the Punjab innings, Ravichandran Aswin bowled a soft stroke to the off side and Puran wanted to steal a quick single. Puran came out of his lap, but seeing Dhawan pick up the ball, he started coming back but DC’s Shikhar Dhawan threw the ball fast and wicket keeper Rishab spit towards the ball.
Dhawan’s throw was slightly away from the wicket-keeper’s ball, in such a situation, he grabbed the ball and tried to hit the stumps by throwing the ball exactly towards the stumps in Dhoni’s style, but the ball did not hit the stumps, which prevented Nicholas Puran from getting run out.
