Mandeep, 28, was included in the XX playing XI squad as he did not do much as he missed three games. He had scored 27, 6, and 0 in previous matches selected. He was dropped for the next three matches, scoring only 17 off 14 balls as he recalled on Saturday.
Most likely, the tragedy affected his attention on Saturday because it was not easy to focus after losing one’s father. Mandeep’s father is said to have been unwell for a long time.
IPL In another turn of the XI match played by KXIP, Chris Jordan came on for James Neesham.
