Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakraborty has reached a personal milestone and set a major record in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday.
The emperor took 5 wickets for 20 wickets in the IPL. The emperor’s first five-wicket haul helped KKR to a 59-run victory over the Delhi capitals in the IPL clash in Abu Dhabi.
The best bowling figures of any bowler playing in the UAE in the 13th edition are Emperor’s figures. He also became the first bowler to take five wickets in the current season.

Mystery spinner Morgan led the Delhi Capitals batting line-up for the KKR with 5 off 11 balls. Emperor Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Bandh, Shimran Hetmire, Marcus Stones and Akshar Patel took wickets.
The emperor also scored 5-20 as the second best bowler in KKR bowling history. Sunil Narine leads Kings XI Punjab 5-19 in Kolkata in 2012.
Earlier KKR Nitesh Rana scored 194 off a spinning half-ton and 32-ball 64-ball back. After KKR’s initial setbacks, both left-handed batsmen hit boundaries and led KKR to a total of 194 runs.
