KL Rahul’s Kings XI Punjab struggled with its batting unit in the first innings. The opening batsmen gave Hyderabad an easy chase – 127 runs. But when the ball was thrown, the team turned the match completely upside down. Chris Jordan scored his unique hat-trick tonight as the death overs went to SRH.

David Warner led Hyderabad after a 69-run victory over Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the previous match (Game 22) and made his best effort to capture Kings XI Punjab when they face it for the second time in the ongoing IPL edition. From a strong batting in the beginning to a brilliant performance by the bowlers this evening, the Hyderabad unit got every chance to make the match difficult for Punjab but could not record a win.

On the field, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma and Jason Holder came out strong as usual. Rashid Khan did what he knew – first removing Captain Rahul and strangling KXIP, then forcing Deepak Hooda to return to the pavilion. He finished his spelling with 2/14.

Then when it comes to batting, star openers David Warner and Johnny Burstow have sewn more than 50 partnerships, with the former scoring 35 off 20 balls. But as soon as the captain left the field at the hands of Ravi Bishnoi, the team began to fall apart. Arshdeep Singh and Chris Jordan took three wickets each, but then Rashid Khan, Holder and big fish Manish Pandey shone one after the other and shone at death.
