Arshdeep Singh and Chris Jordan beat Kings XI Punjab by 12 runs in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s match 43 in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Captain-cum openers David Warner and Johnny Barstow gave Sunrisers Hyderabad a good start as they chased down the winning target of 127 runs. 56 for the opening wicket. Ravi Bishnoi scored 35 in the seventh over.
Beastow (19) soon returned to his captaincy pavilion after being bowled by Murugan Aswin in the next over.
Following this, Manish Pandey (15) and Vijay Shankar (26) were arrested by SRH.
Following the dismissal of both, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to combine the partnership and were eventually bowled out for 114 in 19.5 overs.
Chris Jordan, who needed 17 runs in the last two overs, struck twice to dismiss Jason Holder (5) and Rashid Khan (0), giving Arshdeep Singh only one run. Ahmed (0) to catch the victory for his side.
Jordan scored three for 17 and Arshdeep Singh three for 23. Aswin, Ravi Bishnoi and Mohammad Shami also took one wicket each.
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad also came up with an excellent bowling performance and excellent fielding, with Kings XI Punjab scoring 126 for seven in the allotted 20 overs.
Nicholas Pooran was unbeaten on 32 off 28 balls as the highest run-scorer for Punjab.
Mandeep Singh, who came to open the Kings XI innings despite his father’s tragic closet last night, was out for 17 off 14 balls after Sandeep Sharma caught Rashid Khan in the deep square of the innings.
Meanwhile, captain-cum-opener KL Rahul (27), Chris Gayle (20), Glenn Maxwell (12), Deepak Hooda (0) and Chris Jordan (7) left cheap.
Sandeep Sharma, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan took two wickets each.
With this win, Kings XI have now advanced to fifth place in the IPL 2020 rankings with five wins from 11 matches. Sunrisers, on the other hand, have been relegated to sixth place with four wins.
