A big relief to the fans, fans and well-wishers of Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev is that the 1983-World Cup-winning captain is in stable condition after he underwent angioplasty in a hospital on Friday (Oct. 23) complaining of chest pain.
Kapil Dev is expected to be discharged in the next two days and he has been admitted to Escorts Fortis Hospital in Oklahoma.
The cricket fraternity was shocked to hear the news, immediately poured out their prayers on social media and wished the iconic cricketer a return to good health.
Kapil Dev thanked his official Twitter handle for the great care and support of everyone in cricket circles. He added that he was on the path to recovery. “Thank you all for all the love and care. I’m on track for congratulations and recovery,” Dev tweeted.

‘Master blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar and India captain Virat Kohli want Kapil to recover quickly. Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina and Kapil Dev’s former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma are some of the other notable cricketers who have expressed their preferences.
