Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli became the third Indian batsman to hit 200 sixes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday and added another feather to his cap by finishing fifth overall.
The 31-year-old set the record in the 44th match of the 2020 season of the lucrative T20 tournament in the Bangalore ownership clash against the Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Kohli, who needed a six to reach the milestone, took the maximum from Ravindra Jadeja in the third over of the 17th over and reached the milestone after winning the toss and choosing to bat first.
As a result, the Indian captain lost his Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma (209) and CSK’s M.S. He became the third player in the country after Dhoni (216) to reach the 200-maximum milestone in the Rich League.
