According to Downtector, YouTube experienced the most downtime of the crash, with more than 24,000 complaints reported at 5:42 p.m. Gmail, on the other hand, reported more than 11,000 times simultaneously. When you open the YouTube homepage you will see the message ‘Something went wrong’. YouTube tweeted that the service was actually experiencing issues and had been fixed. The Google Workplace Dashboard displays issues with most of Google’s applications and services, such as Calendar, Sheets, Meetings, and Voice. Services are slowly being restored as YouTube performs better for some users when updating this message, but not for everyone yet.
Google has not yet released a statement on the cause of the crash.
