Mumbai: Adani has finally taken over the management of the Mumbai airport. The announcement was made via a post on Twitter from the verified account of Adani Group Chairman Kuttam Adani.
“We are pleased to accept the management of the world-class Mumbai International Airport. We promise to make Mumbai proud. The Adani Group will create the airport ecosystem for business, leisure and entertainment in the future. We will create thousands of new local jobs,” Adam Adani said in a tweet.

On July 13, Adani Group Chairman Kuttam Adani announced that it had taken over the management of the Mumbai International Airport from the GVK Group.
The company said in a press release: “As India becomes the third largest aviation market in the world by 2024, the Adani Group will add Mumbai International Airport to its six existing airports, followed by Greenfield Navi Mumbai Operations International Airport Limited (NMIAL) Adani Group. And provides a transformative airport platform that allows P2C businesses to merge and build multiple strategic connections to the group’s other P2B businesses.
AAHL (ADANI Airports Holdings Ltd) will begin construction of Navi Mumbai International Airport next month and complete the financial closure within the next 90 days. This new international airport will be operational in 2024.
